Venus is the second planet away from our Sun, located between our Earth and Mercury. It is the sixth largest planet in our solar system. Venus' orbit is the most circular planet out of them all. with an eccentricity of less than 1%. The orbit is 108,200,000 km (0.72 A.U.) away from the Sun. Venus has a diameter of 12,103.6 km, about 1040 km smaller than Earth. It has a mass of 4,869 e 24 kg, similar in size to Earth. Venus is thought to be an inferior planet. Venus shows different phases when viewed through a telescope on Earth. The rotation of its axis is 243 Earth days, and its rotation around the Sun is 225 Earth days. Venus does not have a magnetic field. Solutions on Venus is covered with thick clouds that create a greenhouse effect that makes it very hot. The surface is rocky, dusty, waterless, with endless mountains, canyons, and plains, with a 200-mile river of hardened lava.
